Johnny Chapa

As a transfer student, Johnny is at the end of his third year in college and finishing up his first year at ASU. Previously majoring in Journalism, he has strengths in writing and editing along with much of his study being directed towards the different forms of media. Now a communication major, he hopes to expand on his abilities and make himself more versatile upon finishing college. After college he hopes to go into work curating in some form while also pursuing a career in writing. To work in an atmosphere that allows him to be creative while also giving him opportunities to learn from professionals and grow is an ideal position he hopes to find himself in.

 

Deagan Urbatsch

Deagan is a business journalist who is passionate about improving businesses’ relations with their communities. He enjoys observing the interaction between organizational goals and the watchdog role that journalism plays, which is why investigative journalism is so important to him in this era of corporations. He also has a vested interest in seeing businesses perform well if they are playing by the rules, and that’s why he believes this website’s advice can help these museums market themselves more effectively and in turn make more money.

 

Catherine Fusillo

Catherine is a multimedia journalist who is passionate about helping to bring the Phoenix community together, as well as about the history of music. She wants to help museums reach a younger audience in order to continue to be relevant in the community. She believes that college students, in particular, are more interested in history and science and the culture that surrounds them than older adults tend to think. Writing about these museums in order to bring them to young adults is something she was very excited to do.

Jake Lewis

Jake is a sophomore at Arizona State’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism. He also has a minor in history. He is from Omaha, Nebraska and moved to Arizona for college. He has had a passion for arts and museums since he was a child and wants to see everyone share in his passions. Jake admires journalism because it gives him a platform to make a difference in the world as well as in his local community.

 

Collin Bristol

Collin Bristol is a journalist living in Chandler, Arizona. He has a lot of hobbies and interests outside of being a journalist. He is an avid guitar player both acoustic and electric. he has played soccer since the age of five on to community college and now just for recreation. he has a passion for cars and always tries to be involved in that scene. He’s been in countless art classes and has enjoyed drawing when the rest of his hobbies aren’t using all his time. Museums have always interested him in general, they have a certain nostalgic feeling that brings back memories of his childhood and that’s priceless to him.
