Millennials vs. Museums: Do They Care?
Museums are an integral part to any community. They are signs of culture and a long-lasting society that bring people together. Phoenix is no exception to this. With over 30 museums, the city has a lot to showcase.
However, despite the number of museums open to the public in Phoenix, many could do more to be accessible and interesting to college students from the millennial generation. Some museums offer ticket discounts with student ID, but most stop there in their efforts to reach young adults.
With this website, we want to showcase some of our favorite museums in the city and explain what each of them are doing to engage with young adults. We visited the Phoenix Art Museum, The Arizona Science Center, The Natural History Museum, the Heard Museum and the Musical Instrument Museum.
These museums each offer something unique to their audience, and each are a special part of the Phoenix landscape. We hope that this website will help other college students plan their visits to local museums by elaborating on what each has to offer to them.
